The Bridge Academy — the only Orton-Gillingham accredited school in New Jersey — offers professional summer training in the Orton-Gillingham Approach for educators who work with students with language-based learning disabilities.

Our instructors are OGA Fellows with decades of combined experience. Training is offered virtually and is open to teachers, tutors, reading specialists, and other professionals serving students with dyslexia and related learning differences.

Seats are limited. Registration is handled through our secure OneCause portal.

2026 Course Offering

Orton-Gillingham Associate Level $2,000

This 70-hour virtual course is designed for individuals who want to work with struggling students of all ages one-on-one.

Week 1 covers the basics of Orton-Gillingham methods, working primarily with beginning to intermediate students.

Week 2 goes more in depth and covers how to teach students who are intermediate to advanced level readers.

Eileen Tresansky

Eileen Tresansky, MS Ed
Eileen is a Fellow of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators and an IDA Certified Dyslexia Therapist. She holds a NJ TOH certificate for K–12 and a Master’s in Reading and Literacy, K–6. With over 30 years of experience working with students with dyslexia and other learning differences, Eileen has taught in 1:1, small group, and large class settings — instructing both students and teachers.

Ann Marie Harshaw

Ann Marie Harshaw
Ann Marie is a Fellow of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Oregon and an M.A. in Learning Disabilities from Teachers College, Columbia University. Ann Marie is the Language Arts Coordinator at The Bridge Academy and has trained educators in the OG approach for many years.
